Chatham Town offer free entry for their Kent Senior Cup game against Gillingham on Tuesday night as they look to raise money for The Wisdom Hospice

Gillingham will play Chatham Town in the Kent Senior Cup on Tuesday night - and it’s free to watch.

Chats host the second-round match at the Bauvill Stadium and will be raising money for the Wisdom Hospice.

Last season Chats did the same thing for their Kent Senior Cup match against Bromley, with fans encouraged to make a donation, which led to them raising over £2,000 for the Medway charity.

Chatham were winners away at Deal Town in the first round of this season’s competition, fighting back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 and then win the tie on penalties. The Gills received a bye into the second round.

Chatham’s decision to make entry free comes in the same week that the club have announced Ollie Kenny as the club’s new community lead.

The club said: “Ollie will play a key role in strengthening our connection with the local community, working closely with schools to deliver community projects, enhancing our matchday experience, coordinating mascots and helping to create more opportunities for people of all ages to get involved with the club.

“We’re excited to have Ollie on board as we continue to grow our presence across Medway and bring the club even closer to our community.”
