Gianni Infantino set for St Mirren vs Aberdeen appearance as FIFA president jets in for sin bin crunch talks

FIFA president Gianni Infantino will reportedly attend Aberdeen's trip to Paisley to face St Mirren on Saturday.

The news comes with a crucial IFAB meeting set to take place at Loch Lomond on the same day as football's lawmakers consider a host of new proposals. The FIFA chief is set to take part in the IFAB meeting where discussions will revolve around the implementation of sin bins and the prospect of introducing blue cards to the game - and how the new rules will be put in place across different levels of football.

And while there will be plenty of eyes on Neil Warnock this weekend - with pressure mounting on the boss with the Dons falling dangerously close to the relegation zone since he took charge - one person he wouldn't have expected to be watching on is Infantino. However, he will reportedly take in the Scottish Premiership clash at St Mirren Park.
