Gemma Atkinson has shared an emotional detail behind her son's birth date as she confirmed more details about his arrival into the world. Before announcing her second child's arrival, the Hits Radio host joked she was 'still standing' as she passed the 40-week pregnant mark.

But after that, it wasn't long before she and her fiance Gorka Marquez's son, who we now know has been named Thiago Thomas Marquez, made his grand entrance. Gemma, 38, and her Strictly Come Dancing star beau, 32, announced their baby boy's arrival last Wednesday (July 19).

"Little man is here!" they confirmed in a typed-out message to her millions of followers against a black background on her Instagram Story. "He arrived safe and sound and he’s utterly wonderful," the former Emmerdale and Hollyoaks star added before sharing more details about their brand new life as a family of four.

"Mia is already the mother hen we expected her to be," the loved-up pair went on. However, Gemma shared how the new family of four's time together was going to be limited as she confirmed: "We’re all home together soaking up this lovely little bubble before Gorks has to leave for Strictly rehearsals next week."

Then over the weekend, Gemma shared the meaning behind their son's name after previously sharing their struggle to agree on a moniker for their newborn. Just days after giving birth, the new parents shared their baby boy's name along with an adorable first photo. Sharing the gorgeous first snap of him in a joint post to their followers on Saturday (July 22), Gemma and Gorka wrote: "Thiago Thomas Marquez. Our family is complete."
