Gary Anderson trolls England fans with Euro 2024 reminder as Scot fires back at World Matchplay Darts taunts

Scots darts star Gary Anderson couldn't resists taunting England fans about their 2-1 defeat to Spain in the Euro 2024 final at the World Matchplay Darts.

Gareth Soutgate's men slumped to defeat in Germany thanks to goals from Nico Williams and Mikel Oyarzabal - leaving the Three Lions empty-handed once again as their wait for silverware rumbles on. However, that European Championship heartbreak presented the perfect opportunity to take a pot shot back at the crowd in Blackpool after receiving an onslaught of abuse from the stands.

While being on the end of 'Scotland get battered everywhere they go' chants - Anderson was quick to clap back at the crowd as he gestured with the score line by holding up 2-1 with his fingers. Despite the light-hearted jibe, Anderson couldn't stop Michael Smith surging to victory.

Smith fought back from 3-0 down against Anderson in a battle between the former world champions to win 10-5. Smith took seven legs in a row during the remarkable fight-back.
