Manchester United may not be in action until Wednesday night, but that hasn't stopped the club from dominating the column inches up and down the country.

Sunday's 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford was United's third of the Premier League season already and has seen the pressure mount on Erik ten Hag.

Many believed the Dutchman was fortunate to keep his job at the end of last season, even after beating Manchester City in the FA Cup final. However, The Manchester Evening News understands the club are set to stick with the Dutchman as they gear up for matches against FC Porto and Aston Villa.

Gareth Southgate is reportedly not interested in filing a potential vacancy at Everton if Sean Dyche is sacked - with the 54-year-old holding out for an approach from Manchester United.

That's according to Give Me Sport, which claims ex-England manager Southgate is "intrigued" by taking over at Old Trafford, if Ten Hag was to be sacked.
