Antony sends cryptic message after Erik ten Hag Manchester United decision against Brentford

Antony has shared a message on social media as his minutes remain limited this season.

The Brazilian was left out of Manchester United's 2-1 win against Brentford on Saturday and has so far made just two appearances off the bench. Those appearances came during the defeat to Brighton and the stalemate to Aston Villa.

Antony joined United by recommendation of Erik ten Hag, with the club paying £85million to Ajax for his signature. However, that fee is yet to be justified as he continues to struggle to live up to expectations.

Ten Hag, meanwhile, has always backed the winger and believes he can turn the disastrous spell around. "I know he is capable it [of playing like he did vs Chelsea]," Ten Hag previously told MUTV. "I've seen it so often when I was manager at Ajax but we haven't since this [at United].

"Maybe in the start, we have seen glimpses in the first three games where he scored three goals. But after that, incidentally, like against Barcelona last season where he scored the winning goal but he's capable of it."

After being named as an unused substitute during the comeback over Brentford, with Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund netting the goal, Antony shared a quote on his Instagram stories.

The cryptic message could be related to the lack of game time at the club. However, the United boss remains hopeful Antony will break into the team.
