Gareth Bale leaves Real Madrid: Fan footage of incredible 2018 assist
Gareth Bale finally has a heading as his roller-coaster ride of a Real Madrid career comes to an end.
The Welsh maestro, after links to Cardiff City, will be heading to the United States where he will join up with Los Angeles FC to play in the MLS.
While the States-side club are yet to confirm the deal, Bale not-so-subtly tweeted a clip of himself in all the LAFC garb with the message: “See you soon, Los Angeles”.
It calls to a close a bizarre era in the game for Bale who won countless trophies during his time in Madrid, but never truly won over the notoriously hard to please fans.
He scored 106 goals in 258 appearances while also notching up 67 assists. He won three La Liga titles while also securing an incredible five Champions League winners’ medals.
It is truly the stuff of legend and, whether fans agree or not, Bale simply has to go down as one of Madrid’s all time greats.
Alongside Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo, he was able to form one of the most terrifying trios in modern history, tearing defences to bits across Spain and the continent.
See you soon, Los Angeles.
