Games Sales chart: Elden Ring, WWE 2K22, Horizon Forbidden West all in top 10
Elden Ring has remained strong in the sales chart since its release, and is the most bought game of the month.
Per GamesIndustry.biz, the huge release from both From Software and Bandai Namco has some very strong legs and is continuing to sell remarkably well.
It is a huge game that can take multiple hours to complete, and it seems as though people are firmly buying into the hype surrounding one of the best games of all time.
On Metacritic, on PS5, Elden Ring has a score of 98, perhaps explaining exactly why so many people are rushing out to buy the game.
As per the report, the game’s sales are being driven mainly by digital downloads over Steam, Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.
At No.2, there is Gran Turismo 7 from Sony, with 73% of the purchases coming on the PS5 version of the game. It is a truly next-gen racing game which can harness the pure power of the new consoles, and gamers are clearly looking to see just how jaw-dropping it can look.
Grand Theft Auto 5 remains an astonishing seller, despite it first being released nine years ago, on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.
It is the third-highest seller of March, after its release on next-gen consoles. The PS5 version had 37% of the whole sales of the game, while there was a 28% share for the Xbox Series X and Series S consoles.
At number four, perhaps unsurprisingly, is FIFA 22, which continues to sell well for EA Sports, and remains a cash cow given the prevalence of Ultimate Team in the game.
WWE 2K22 has enjoyed a very strong launch and is in the top five, with the game performing especially well on console; 97% of the sales came on PlayStation and Xbox.
