Gabriel Jesus nears '£50m Man City exit' and other transfer rumours

Gabriel Jesus is reportedly nearing an exit from Manchester City this summer with Arsenal looking likely to be his destination.

City's Brazilian striker impressed in the latter stages of the season after reports emerged that the Gunners had met with his representatives over a possible deal. The Times reports that Arsenal are now closing in on the signing of Jesus as they look to replace Alexandre Lacazette.

Jesus is thought to be keen to link up with Mikel Arteta once more having worked with the Spaniard at the Etihad before his move to the Emirates Stadium. It is claimed that Arsenal are close to agreeing a £50m deal for the striker who has just one more year left on his contract in Manchester.

Elsewhere, City have reportedly enquired about the possibility of signing Hoffenheim defender David Raum this summer.

Left-back is a position City are interested in strengthening this transfer window with Oleksandr Zinchenko attracting interest from Arsenal. According to 90min, Pep Guardiola's side posed the question of Raum's availability when discussing a move which would see City's Ko Itakura joining the Bundesliga club.

Itakura has been on loan at Schalke this season and City are reportedly happy to sell the Japanese international having not featured for the first team since arriving in Manchester. It is believed that during Hoffenheim's discussions to purchase Itakura, the Blues asked whether they would be interested in selling Raum.

It is unknown as of yet if a swap deal could be agreed between the two clubs. The 24-year-old racked up 13 assists in 35 appearances last season.
