Full borough-by-borough weather forecast for Greater Manchester with new year snow warning in place
The end of the year and the ringing in of 2025 is set to bring a blast of unsettled weather according to the forecasters.
The Met Office have issued twelve weather warnings for parts of the UK over the four-day period, between Monday, December 30 and Thursday, January 2.
Heavy rain, snow and strong winds are expected to hit and cause widespread travel disruption. A yellow warning for snow which covers Greater Manchester comes into effect at 9am on New Year's Day (Wednesday) and remains in place until 3am in the early hours of Thursday.
It says that 'heavy and persistent snow may bring disruption' with a 'small chance' of power cuts and travel delays. Detailed forecasts currently suggest the worst of the conditions may miss Greater Manchester.
Here we take a look at the current predictions for what the weather will bring for each borough on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in three hour intervals as given by the Met Office
