Fulham send scouts to 'watch' Leicester City transfer target

Leicester City transfer target Joe Worrall has been watched by scouts from newly-promoted Fulham, according to reports.

Worrall's impressive performances for Nottingham Forest this season has helped Steve Cooper's side reach the Championship play-off final, where they will face Huddersfield Town for a place in the Premier League. His displays have also resulted in continued transfer interest from a host of clubs, most notably including West Ham and Leicester City.

According to reports in the national media, it now appears Fulham have added themselves to the growing list of wannabe hosts for Worrall. Forest will be desperate to achieve promotion in order to reap not just the financial benefits, but also to retain several of their key players. Worrall is contracted to Forest until next season; however, The Sun claim that the Nottingham-born central defender will move clubs if the Reds do not make it into the Premier League.

The report adds that Fulham top scout Brian Talbot has been sent to watch Worrall in each of the play-off fixtures so far. The Cottagers are not the only club holding out for a failed promotion bid from Forest, however, with Leicester and West Ham reportedly also keen for that outcome.

Worrall, 25, has played 90 minutes in all but seven Championship matches this season when he was recovering from a calf injury and fractured ribs. His displays alongside Scott McKenna and Steve Cook have been fundamental in the Reds being 90 minutes from promotion to the Premier League.
