All eyes are on Manchester United as the domestic summer transfer window officially opens today, with clubs across the Premier League able to get down to business. International deals will still have to wait a little while longer, though, with that window not opening until July 1.

United are taking a more measured approach to recruitment this summer and don't want to be rushed into any deals because of social media chatter or agent tactics, but their case isn't being helped by comparisons to Premier League rivals who have already announced new arrivals of their own.

Work is ongoing to ensure United have the best possible summer, but with the transfer window having only been open for a couple of hours, it looks like it will be a while yet before any new signings are made official.
