Frank Warren makes admission over potential Tyson Fury vs Thor fight

Tyson Fury's promoter Frank Warren has labelled an exhibition bout between the WBC heavyweight champion and former World Strongest Man Thor Bjornsson as "quite interesting" after the pair exchanged a war of words on social media over the weekend.

Fury, who hails from Wythenshawe, began with an Instagram post, writing: "I wonder if Thor Bjornsson could take a crashing right hand to that big jaw? Who would have Thor's hammer? Would this mountain be too big to climb?" He then followed up with, "I just finished a brutal session, and I can only think about destroying one person; Thor, I'm coming for you, you're getting it sucker, there's only room for one big dog and that's me!"

Bjornsson then responded to the taunt, saying: "Tyson, there's only one way to find out. Let's make this fight. I'm 100% up for war. Let's do this." The Icelandic giant carried on by promising fans a 'bloodbath'. "I f***ing love this, Tyson. Me and you in the ring like f***ing Vikings. This is going to be a bloodbath, but I f***ing can't wait. Let's do this!"

The self-proclaimed 'Gypsy King' Fury then finished off with a message that read, "Gypsy King is back on it this morning. Six days this week, twice a day! Thor, I'm going to come to Iceland and set about you, you big dosser. Get up!"

In an interview with iFL TV, Warren was asked about the potential of a fight between Fury and Bjornsson. "I tell you what, that could be quite interesting. Who knows? Who knows in boxing?"

Fury retired from professional boxing in April after beating Dillian Whyte after a sixth-round TKO. Since, he's been heavily linked for a fight against UFC heavyweight champion
