Hafthor Bjornsson: Game of Thrones star shows off incredibly gruelling workout routine

Hafthor Bjornsson is continuing his training after defeating Eddie Hall in epic grudge match in March via unanimous decision in a bout named ‘the heaviest boxing match in history.’

After losing nine stone in his journey from strongman and actor to becoming a boxer, he is continuing a gruelling workout routine which is seeing him go from strength to strength.

The Icelandic brute has claimed he can perform 500 crunches in a row and has released a video of himself allegedly doing so on his Instagram page where he has amassed over 4.1 million followers on the platform.

His video shows him doing crunches, with his work our mat drenched in his sweat as he writes the numbers on the video of him reaching and surpassing 500 crunches… allegedly, although it would take a brave man to argue with him.

Boasting about his ability, he posed the following question in his caption: “How many crunches can you do in one go? I used to get cramps after like 50…”

The 33 year-old defeated his gigantic rival and former world strongest man Hall after he had three fights to prepare himself for the bout.

However, his attentions appear to have turned to the biggest fish of all, Tyson Fury, with the pair exchanging words online, leaving fans drooling at the prospect of a spectacle between two heavyweights.

‘Thor’ has claimed that talks were underway with the heavyweight champion, who insists he is retired, for an exhibition bout, although Frank Warren, Fury’s promoter, has disputed that.

Warren himself said: “There’s lots of things being said at the moment, but to be honest nothing has been done.

“Nothing will be done until I sit down with him. He’s got his tour at the moment, so he’s travelling around the country.
