Topless Tyson Fury spotted outside Dominos in Pontyclun

Just picture the scene.

You're minding your own business, strolling down the road, and suddenly, without warning, bump into one of the world's greatest boxers, topless, and out for a morning jog.

It sounds pretty surreal, but that's exactly the sight that greeted the good folk of Pontyclun on Friday as none other than two-time world heavyweight champion of the world Tyson Fury was spotted out and about in the village centre.

Fury, who bowed out of professional boxing after his recent win over Dillian Whyte at Wembley back in April, was snapped outside Dominos Pizza, much to the delight of many locals.

Taking a photo of the scene, one Twitter user posted: "Tyson Fury being spotted having a tops off party outside Pontyclun Domino’s has made my day."

There were similar messages on social media channels throughout the day as other sightings came in.

You'd be forgiven for being a little confused as to why the 33-year-old was doing in Pontyclun, but Fury actually has some strong connections to the local area.

Pontyclun local Brendan Lyons, a close personal friend of the former boxer, is head Fury's of security, and his young son's exploits on the football field even resulted in local valleys football club Cambrian and Clydach getting a shout out from the WBC world heavyweight champion.

Lyons was, on this occasion, partially responsible for Fury's latest visit to south Wales, with his own Lyons Den Gym in Pontyclun hosting a meet-and-greet event for fans, giving them the chance to catch a glimpse of the man himself. It's believed Fury is staying at nearby Lanelay Hall.
