Frank Lampard sent Seamus Coleman Everton transfer message
Seamus Coleman rolled back the years to help inspire Everton to victory over Leeds United on Saturday afternoon.
That’s the verdict of ECHO Everton reporter Chris Beesley as the Blues prepare for this weekend’s trip to Southampton.
Captain Coleman has clocked up more than 350 appearances for the club since joining from Sligo Rovers back in 2009 and set his side on the way to three huge points over Leeds after heading in the opener.
Further goals from Michael Keane and Anthony Gordon followed for the Blues, who moved five points clear of the relegation zone with the 3-0 win.
Coleman has been a real fan-favourite at Everton as his commitment and drive over the years have been complemented by a genuine talent that has on occasions put him right in the conversation to be considered as one of the best right-backs in the Premier League.
