Frank Lampard names Everton youngsters that will be in Boreham Wood squad

Frank Lampard has confirmed that Lewis Dobbin, Reece Welch and Isaac Price will all be in the Everton squad to face Boreham Wood on Thursday.

The trio have all been training with the first team at regular intervals over the course of recent months, with the former in particular already making his Premier League debut earlier this term.

All three were spotted by Evertonians in the club's latest round of images from Finch Farm in preparation for the FA Cup fifth round tie at Goodison Park.

And Lampard confirmed that all three would be in the squad, although he wanted to make clear he was not taking the upcoming challenge for his side lightly.

Tyler Onyango has also been involved in senior training recently, but misses out on Thursday due to a hernia issue.

Lampard remarked: "I don't want to sound as if I'm approaching this game like it's a friendly of any sorts or an opportunity to give them minutes, because it's not.

"We have to approach it well and to try and win.

"Those players you've mentioned have trained with us. Tyler's actually got a hernia issue at the moment and won't be in the squad - but Isaac Price will, Reece Welch, Dobs is in there.

"They deserve to be in the squad because of the way they're training. If they get opportunities to get on the pitch, it'll be because they deserve it and they can help us.

"If they get their debuts for the club then great."

Everton will be looking to put their defeat against Man City last weekend firmly behind them with their midweek FA Cup clash.

A few days later, on Monday, the Blues will travel to Spurs for their next Premier League match.
