Four things we need to see from Manchester United in Premier League return

Manchester United's long awaited return to the Premier League comes to an end on Saturday as the Reds travel to Sheffield United in the late kick off.

United went into the break buoyed by Scott McTominay's heroics over Brentford but Erik ten Hag will be keen for the result not to mask the problems of the Reds' start so far. While each game is must-win, it is difficult not to look beyond the next week which will be pivotal in the Champions League and Premier League.

To set themselves on the way to a positive seven days, United need to improve across the board but perhaps four things stand out as what we want to see from Ten Hag and Co on their Premier League return.

It is fair to say Marcus Rashford has not hit his straps this season. There's been some frustration at Old Trafford with the forward's body language at times and some moments have given awful flashbacks to the dark period under Ralf Rangnick. However on international duty for England against Italy in midweek, Rashford showed his best. His goal was a trademark and showed what he is capable of.

Speaking of rediscovering their form from last season, Casemiro is another who has dropped off this year. At his best, the Brazilian is the perfect anchor in the United midfield but too often this term his performances have been sub-par. After overcoming an injury scare on international duty for Brazil, Casemiro will hope to kick on.
