Four Premier League youngsters Sheffield Wednesday could target this summer

Following their play-off semi-final heartbreak in May, Darren Moore and his Sheffield Wednesday will be looking to go step further this upcoming season and achieve promotion back to the Championship. The Owls have already commenced their recruitment process, bringing in Will Vaulks, David Stockdale, Ben Heneghan, Michael Smith and Michael Iheikwe to Hillsborough.

However, Moore is said to be wanting to bolster their ranks even further, and may turn to the loan market to bring in some youngsters from the Premier League, not only to better his side's chances of promotion, but also to give these players valuable game time in the early part of their professional careers.

Here's four potential targets that the Owls may consider for loan moves:

The 19-year-old, who has represented both England and Scotland at youth level, impressed heavily at Bristol Rovers last season, and was instrumental in getting them promoted to League One. His ability on the ball made him a fan favourite at Rovers and he may now be looking to play at a higher level as his game continues to develop. It's a badly kept secret that Anderson is near the top of Moore's loan list bu Newcastle may have designs on fixing him up with a Championship loan.

Despite being born in the USA, Mighten chose to represent England at youth level, and has impressed whilst on duty with them, as well as at his club, Nottingham Forest. At only 20-years-old, the winger has a great deal of Championship experience, which could be exactly what Wednesday need as they look to get out of League One and return to the Championship themselves.
