Formula E Co-Founder Lauds Jakarta E-Prix as 'One of the Best'

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Formula E Chief Championship Officer and co-founder Alberto Longo in a video conference on Thursday said the recent Jakarta E-Prix held on June 4 was one of the best races the racing series had ever hosted. 

In terms of fan attendance, the Jakarta E-Prix that raced at the purpose-built Jakarta E-Prix Circuit attracted 60,000 fans. 

In the video conference at the Jakpro headquarters in Central Jakarta, Longo also mentioned the fact that the race managed to invite President Joko Widodo or Jokowi, House Speaker Puan Maharani, and a number of state officials. 

According to Alberto, his colleagues had even congratulated him after Formula E took place in Jakarta. “So I can conclude that this is one of the best in the race's history, and can even be seen as the best in Formula E's history,” he said, Antaranews reported.

Moreover, he hopes the Jakarta E-Prix will improve for the better in the future by adding seating capacity and media partners that broadcast the race live, which according to him was viewed by over 10 million people at home. Alberto Longo also mentioned the race’s social media impression that created 22.6 million interactions across a number of contents Formula E posted online.
