Former Villa loanee Ross Barkley linked with Frank Lampard reunion at Everton
Former Aston Villa loanee Ross Barkley has been tipped for a reunion with Frank Lampard at Everton on deadline day.
Barkley, 28, spent the 20/21 season on loan at Villa Park under Dean Smith. The Englishman made 26 appearances in the Premier League for Villa, scoring three times and assisted once, including a goal in the famous 7-2 win over Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
Since his return to Chelsea, Barkley has struggled to force his way into Thomas Tuchel’s plans, manging only 12 appearances across all competitions, with no goals or assists to his name.
Under Lampard at Chelsea, Barkley made 31 appearances in all competitions whilst providing 10 goals and assists during the 19/20 season.
