Frank Lampard has already handed Romelu Lukaku the key that solves glaring Thomas Tuchel concern

Romelu Lukaku has been told that he can accelerate his form at Chelsea with the help of Frank Lampard.

The Belgium international opened the west Londoners' Club World Cup account against Al-Hilal in the semi-final before netting in the final against Palmeiras.

While it may just be two goals, they're the first since his infamous interview with Sky Italia; Lukaku has struggled to win back the fans' faith, but his latest resurgence could ignite the dying embers at Stamford Bridge.

The 28-year-old striker has been urged to unite forces with Kai Havertz, a Lampard signing, in a bid to birth one of the Premier League's most potent strike forces.

Daniel Childs was joined by Chelsea correspondent Adam Newson live on the Carefree Chelsea 'Back Page' show to delve into Lukaku's future in west London.

Newson kickstarted the discussion by looking back on the Belgian's club world championship campaign in what could prove to be the catalyst to Lukaku's career at Stamford Bridge.

"It's been a big week for him - he didn't produce a 10 out of 10 performances in the games against Al-Hilal and Palmeiras, but he did score two very, very important goals," he said.

"You don't have to produce your best. You just need to do enough, and Lukaku got the goal, the opener, a very, very good header.

"He's looked, I don't want to say he's looked comfortable in this Chelsea team because I still don't think that is the case, but I think there are certain signs that he's looking a little bit calmer almost after what has been a very difficult six weeks."
