Former Huddersfield Town favourite Aaron Mooy reveals delight at Celtic move

Former Huddersfield Town favourite Aaron Mooy admits he cannot wait to get up and running for Celtic after signing a two-year deal with the Scottish champions.

Mooy spent four years at the John Smith's Stadium during his time with Huddersfield, making over 100 appearances for the Terriers.

He was an instrumental part of the 2016/17 David Wagner side that earned promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs. And the following season, he helped Huddersfield to Premier League survival in their maiden top flight campaign.

The 31-year-old left Huddersfield in August 2019 to join Brighton, initially on loan which later turned into a permanent deal. He has now signed a two-year deal with Celtic, which will see Mooy reunited with his former boss Ange Postecoglou. And the midfielder revealed he is excited by the challenge of playing for a club "with a huge history."

“It’s an amazing feeling and I’m just so happy to be here," Mooy told Celtic's official club website.

"It’s a massive club with a huge history, and I want to be part of it, so I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead. It’s always a bit stressful when you’re talking with a club, especially a club like Celtic because they’re such a massive club, so I’m delighted that it’s all done and I can get to work and hit the training ground.

"Ange was my coach for about three years in the national team so I know the standards he wants, and I’m looking forward
