Former England international makes De Bruyne, Kane, Salah claim as he lauds Tottenham star

Paul Robinson has claimed Tottenham star Son Heung-min is “in the same bracket” as Harry Kane, Kevin de Bruyne and Mo Salah.

The trio are widely regarded as three of the best players in the Premier League with all three putting up amazing attacking numbers in terms of assists and goals.

However, Son has been one of the most consistent performers in the league this season with the 29-year-old contributing 21 goals and seven assists this term.

After failing to score in today’s 1-0 victory over Burnley, the Tottenham forward is currently one goal adrift of Salah, who leads the Premier League goalscoring charts on 22 goals.

And Robinson doesn’t think he gets enough credit with the former England international insisting that he is up there as one of the best players in the league.

Robinson said on BT Sport: “Son for me isn’t talked about in the highest bracket, I’d put him in the same bracket as De Bruyne, Kane, Salah, he’s that good for this team and he’s done it regularly.

“You look at his numbers, you look at his figures, the telepathy between him and Kane. It’s not just one season, it’s over a number of season.”

Kane was looking to move on last summer with Manchester City the main club interested in buying the England striker. However, a deal never materialised with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy reportedly wanting as much as £160m for his star striker.
