Five places to try a Sunday roast dinner this weekend in Manchester

Nothing says autumn is here quite a freshly made Sunday roast. It’s a seasonal staple that makes its way onto dining tables just in time to ease the transition into the colder and darker months.

When the nights draw in and we start looking for excuses not to leave the house, a top-tier Sunday dinner can provide some much-needed light - and motivation - to roll back the covers, seize the day, and tuck into some excellent cuts.

It’s the ultimate comfort meal, and here in Manchester it takes many forms. From the classic roast with all the trimmings, and carvery piled high with spuds and Yorkshire puddings, to the sharing platters and twists on traditional, we really are spoilt for choice.
