First Manchester City fan event to be held at Co-op Live - entrance and ticket details

Manchester City are holding a ticketed event for fans at the Co-op Live before their home match this weekend.

In a first since the £365m arena, in which City's owners are 50 percent shareholders, opened in May, it is opening its doors to Blues fans before this Saturday's Premier League clash with Brentford on Saturday (September 14), which kicks-off at 3pm.

In what is described as a trial, the "pre-match experience" will take place in 'The Street' - the area at the heart of the venue next door to City's ground, that has a 22 metre long bar as well as numerous other food and drink vendors. It is said to be able to able to hold over 4,000 people on its own.

The club say it will provide an opportunity for "come together in a relaxed atmosphere." They are promising a live DJ, guest speakers and "a range of exclusive competitions." The 12;30pm kick-off between Southampton and Manchester United will be screened as will the City players arrival and the the pre-match build-up from inside the stadium. However there will be no activities inside the arena's main bowl.

Doors will open at 11:30am. Last entry is 2pm which is when last orders will be called. The event will finish at 2:30pm. Home fans of all ages will be allowed in but entry is by ticket only which must be bought in advance. Tickets cost £5 for all fans but each ticket holder will be given a £5 voucher which they redeem towards drinks or snacks.

All comparable drinks such as Asahi Super Dry or Pepsi Max will be priced the same as inside the Etihad Stadium" City say. Fans are reminded Co-op Live is a cashless venue.
