First look at new Big Brother hosts in action as show returns next month

Big Brother bosses have given fans their first look at its new presenting duo together as the countdown to the legendary show's return continues. The reality hit is coming back next month with different hosts, a new-look house - and will be on a different channel.

The teaser image sees presenters AJ Odudu and Will Best laughing while sitting behind the scenes with what appears to be a Big Brother trailer in the background. It comes ahead of the release of the first advert for the much-anticipated series.

The trailer for the new series is set to give fans more of a glimpse inside the house. It is due to air on ITV1 during Rugby World Cup 2023 Live on Friday (September 8).

Big Brother will make its long awaited return to screens later this year on ITV2 and ITVX. A fresh version of the familiar 'Big Brother eye' was revealed at the end of July.

Big Brother, which was first produced in the Netherlands, originally launched in the UK on Channel 4 in 2000 and became a sensation. Well-known names such as Josie Gibson, Adele Roberts, Alison Hammond and the late Jade Goody first found fame on the show, which sees housemates live together in a custom-built home for weeks without access to the outside world in a bid to win a cash prize.

The programme later transferred to Channel 5 in 2011. In total it aired for 18 years in the UK until it was axed in 2018.

AJ Odudu and Will Best will follow in the footsteps of Davina McCall, Emma Willis and Brian Dowling in hosting the contest.
