Firm plans fitness fair for sports enthusiasts, others in Lagos

Fitness+, a community-focused health and wellness gym, has announced plans to organise the biggest fitness fair in Yaba, Lagos State, dedicated to promoting health and wellness among sports enthusiasts and other individuals within the community.

Tagged ‘Yaba Fitness Fair,’ the event, scheduled to hold on October 21, 2023, at Rowe Park, Yaba, will give members of the community and its environs opportunity to engage in fun, health-focused activities such as high-energy aerobics, dance and other fitness challenges, as well as raffle draws and free medical check-up.

Speaking at a press conference to announce the fair, the Chief Executive Officer of Fitness+, Lara Olowookere, said the main purpose of the event is to sensitise the community on the need to prioritise physical fitness, and to also share tips on how residents can live healthier lives.

Olowookere said Fitness+ believes that fitness is a way of life and that the gym is not just about building muscle mass or losing a few pounds, but a place to invest in one’s overall wellbeing, rejuvenation, reawakening and mental stimulation.

She stressed on the need to sensitise the public on practicing a healthy lifestyle, while calling on government-enabled initiatives such as funding and loans to establish more gyms in the communities.
