Fans rush to congratulate Strictly Come Dancing's Karen Hauer as she shares happy news

Strictly Come Dancing star Karen Hauer has been inundated with congratulatory messages after sharing a major life update. Professional dancer Karen, 41, revealed she had achieved an important milestone in a post on her Instagram page.

Karen, who was paired with Jayde Adams on the BBC ballroom competition last year, announced that she had passed her driving test on her very first go. She accompanied the news with a series of photos showing her in front of a black Mercedes learner car, dressed casually in trainers, jeans and a sweatshirt while holding her practical test pass certificate proudly.

Latin dance specialist Karen wrote: "Posing up a storm after passing my driving test on my first go! I was sh****ng myself the entire time.

"Massive thanks to my fabulous instructor Michelle who put me thru my paces in 6 hours. Thanks to @thepasspeople for finding an appointment and instructor for me in a very short amount of time."

Gorka Márquez, Karen's fellow professional dancer on Strictly, was one of the first to congratulate his friend, posting a series of handclap emojis underneath her post. "Now I’ll drive us everywhere," Karen replied.

TV presenter Amanda Lamb also commented, saying: "Well done you…. Ah the freedom of the open road."
