Facundo Pellistri 'surprises' new boss after agent slams Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag

Facundo Pellistri has amazed his new manager after a tough snub by Erik ten Hag. Granada boss Alexander Medina said he's been "surprised" by Pellistri since he joined from on loan.

Pellistri moved to the La Liga team on February 1 and will stay until the end of the season. He made his debut for Granada versus Las Palmas earlier this month and scored a goal and an assist in their exciting 3-3 draw with Barcelona over the weekend.

Granada exceeded expectations in Catalonia as they are currently second to bottom in the table having won just two out of their 24 league games this season. The club are seven points away from safety and need some big changes if they're going to remain in La Liga.

Despite this, there's no doubt that Pellistri has helped Granada up front. The Uruguayan impressed against Las Palmas and followed it up with an even better showing at Barca.

Straight from their first chat, Pellistri impressed Medina. The manager told Sport890: "Facu Pellistri surprised me in the first talk we had, in these two weeks of work he has given us a lot at stake and in defensive solidarity. I looked for Pellistri because he knew what he could give us. He meets all the conditions on the wing, he had his personal ambition for growth and that leaves me happy."
