Fabio Silva pens Rangers love letter as Wolves loan star keeps door open for extended Ibrox stay

Delighted Fabio Silva admits he is loving life at Rangers – as he refused to shut the door on extending his Ibrox stay beyond the season.

The Wolves striker has turned heads on loan after finding opportunities limited at Molineux since his blockbuster £35m transfer from Porto in 2020. And the 21-year-old has established himself as a key contributor under Philippe Clement with Rangers pushing for a first domestic Treble in 21 years.

Silva – who is relishing the return leg against compatriots Benfica – opened up on his joy over life in Glasgow and why he isn't against finding away to stay beyond his loan deal which runs until the summer. Speaking to the BBC, Silva said: "I'm loving being here. I don't control these things 100 per cent. It's not 100 per cent my decision to stay, if it was up to me then maybe yes. But I could say 'yes' and then you have a lot of things still to be taken care of.

"Perhaps I have the least input into whether I stay here but we have two months to enjoy the football, to win titles and I think after that, if we win trophies and everything goes well, Rangers and I will do everything for me to stay. When you see me playing with a smile on my face.

"I think everything's going the right way. I enjoy playing here, playing for the fans, the staff, my team-mates. It's a pleasure to be here. I enjoy it a lot. I've been trying to get back my happiness and they're giving me that."
