FA Cup first qualifying round draw: History-making Snodland Town visit player-boss Connor Dymond’s former club Margate as Chatham, Dartford, Ramsgate and Welling United join the action

The draw has been made for the FA Cup first qualifying round.

Connor Dymond returns to one of his old clubs after leading Snodland Town to this stage for the first time in their history.

Player-boss Dymond, who scored in Town’s 3-1 preliminary round win at Harrow Borough, takes his side to Isthmian South East Margate, 4-1 victors at Peacehaven & Telscombe, on September 5.

Isthmian Premier clubs join the action with Chatham, who reached the first round proper last year for the first time in almost a century, drawn away to Egham Town.

Dartford travel to Westfield or Hassocks, while Ramsgate, whose boss Ady Pennock made the quarter-finals as a Gillingham player in 2000, entertain Bracknell Town at Southwood.

Welling United go to the winners of the replay between Bedfont and Steve Watt’s Faversham Town, and Cray Wanderers are off to Lewes.

Sittingbourne, who advanced with an injury-time Jordan Greenidge goal at Erith & Belvedere, host AFC Greenwich Borough, conquerors of Cray Valley.

Sheppey, who won 3-0 at Rusthall, make the journey to a Redhill side who beat Ashford United in the extra preliminary round.

Whitstable’s reward for a 5-0 win over Newhaven is a tie at Hanworth Village, while Punjab United will host Erith Town if they get past SE Dons in a replay.

Prize money in the first qualifying round is £2,250 for winning teams, while the losers collect £750.
