'F****** wake up' - Dimitar Berbatov sends blunt message to Manchester United players
Dimitar Berbatov has urged Manchester United to 'f*****g wake up' after a slow start to the season littered with poor finishing.
United have been underwhelming in attack so far, relying on combination play between Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Raphael Varane to score their only goal of the campaign against Wolves last week. On Saturday, Erik ten Hag's side were beaten 2-0 by Tottenham having been outplayed in the second-half.
However, things could have been very different had United taken one of several chances in north London. Bruno Fernandes missed a sitter when his header drifted high and wide from six yards, while Antony hit the post.

The missed opportunities allowed Tottenham to go into the break level, with Ange Postecoglou's side going through the gears and taking their own chances.
"When you don't score, and you miss a good opportunity to score, which United had with Rashford and Bruno Fernandes' headers, you give a chance to the opposition to regroup and come back strong, this will happen in football," Berbatov told Betfair.
"The second half for United was especially bad. The first half was okay, they had a couple of chances to score, as did Spurs, who hit the post, but it's a different story when you score first - you can still lose the game sometimes but when you score first and if you're a good team that knows how to keep a lead then it's going to be easy to do it.
