Exact times Met Office predicts winds will be strongest in Manchester on Monday
Wind gusts could reach over 40mph on Monday (January 27), according to forecasters. The Met Office has issued the latest weather forecast for the Greater Manchester region.
It comes amid a number of yellow wind and rain warnings, which have been put in place across parts of the UK over the coming days.
The alerts, which have warned of periods of heavy rain which could cause flooding, as well as spells of strong winds which could lead of disruption, cover Wales, the south and the Midlands.
Greater Manchester continued to face disruption over the weekend following strong winds brought in by Storm Eowyn. Multiple train services were cancelled north of Preston and Carlisle, causing travel issues across the north and Scotland.
The Met Office forecast for Manchester on Monday (January 27) has predicted wind gusts of up to 43mph. Meteorologists say that winds of 40 mph or more can affect balance, and also advise on taking precautions when driving, camping, or hiking in these conditions.
