Ex-Manchester United star explains what he wants to see from Jadon Sancho amid Erik ten Hag spat
Former Manchester United defender Gary Pallister says he wants to see Jadon Sancho return to the form he showed at Borussia Dortmund after his public spat with Erik ten Hag.
Sancho is currently training away from the first-team squad after a public falling out following the defeat to Arsenal earlier this month. In his post-match press conference, Ten Hag was asked why the winger was not in the squad and he replied by stating the 23-year-old's performances in training had not reached the desired standards.
Responding to his manager in a now-deleted social media post, Sancho claimed Ten Hag's comments were 'untrue' and he had been made a 'scapegoat' during his time at Old Trafford. There is no immediate sign the Englishman will return to the first team fold and his future is now in doubt.

Former United centre-back Pallister has now given his thoughts on the Sancho situation. Speaking to 888sport, he explained: "The war of words we would have had would probably be behind closed doors [when I was a player] and wasn’t there in public.
"Erik felt he needed to go public with the reasons why he left Sancho out and I think that’s probably a reaction from Jadon to come back fighting. It has been a difficult period for the club.
"Ten Hag has come in, he’s been very disciplined by the looks of it behind the scenes. We’ve heard of different occasions when he’s come down hard on players.
"We want to see a Jadon Sancho as the player he was at Dortmund because he looked like an exceptional talent. We’ve seen it in bits here at United but not enough. He’s still got a lot to prove in a United shirt.
