Everything Gary Neville and Roy Keane have said about Fred ahead of likely Manchester United exit

Manchester United midfielder Fred looks set for the exit door this summer as Erik ten Hag streamlines his squad.

The Brazilian's effort could very rarely be doubted since his arrival in 2018. However, under the Dutchman the Reds have managed to progress their style.

Last summer's arrivals of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen knocked the midfielder down the pecking order. And the rise in prominence of Kobbie Mainoo on the US tour suggests Fred's time at United is coming to an end.

After the FA Cup final, where Fred fouled Kevin De Bruyne for the free kick which led to Man City's second goal, Keane told ITV Sport: "Fred had Kevin de Bruyne where he wants him. De Bruyne has his back to goal and then Fred fouls him. "It's the height of stupidity. But we've seen that from him so many times over the years."
