Every word of Erik ten Hag's rousing speech to Manchester United fans with warning to Man City

Erik ten Hag delivered a rousing speech to stir the Old Trafford crowd after Manchester United defeated Fulham on Sunday afternoon.

United ended the Premier League season with a 2-1 victory against Fulham and that result ensured a third-place finish in the table, with the team recording the second-highest points tally in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era.

Ten Hag's debut season has been a resounding success. The 53-year-old has won the Carabao Cup, he's led the side to qualify for the Champions League again and there is an opportunity for another trophy next week in the FA Cup final.

After the full-time whistle on Sunday, the players gathered for a lap of honour and after Ten Hag presented a delighted David de Gea with his Golden Glove award, he picked up the microphone to address supporters.

In a rousing speech, the manager thanked everyone connected with the club and warned Manchester City that his team were coming to lift the FA Cup.

"First of all, I want to say thank you to our players," Ten Hag said to rapturous applause. "I think they played a brilliant season. Thank you to the staff and I also want to thank you all. Thank you for your contribution, backing us and the support.

"It was great, so thank you. But when I say these words, there's still one game to go and I'm sure these players will give everything to beat Manchester City next week. I'm sure we have a really good chance to take the cup back to Old Trafford."

The crowd immediately responded with chants of 'UNITED! UNITED! UNITED!' and Ten Hag raised a wide smile.
