Every word Erik ten Hag said in Manchester United press conference ahead of Real Betis fixture

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Alejandro Garnacho faces a spell on the sidelines with a 'serious injury.'

The Argentine was forced off during the closing stages of Sunday's 0-0 draw with Southampton and was spotted leaving Old Trafford on crutches, sporting a protective boot. It has since been discovered that he has suffered an ankle injury that will rule him out for a few weeks.

Ten Hag, speaking in Wednesday evening's pre-match press conference, said: "I can't say exactly at this moment, but it will take weeks. So it's a serious injury, didn't expect, but a foul. A serious injury. Once again after Christian Eriksen, we have a serious injury after contact."

Meanwhile, Ten Hag also used his pre-match meeting with journalists to confirm that both Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro will be involved against Real Betis tomorrow evening. The duo are both one booking away from a Europa League ban, but the United boss has confirmed that they will both feature.

Elsewhere, Ten Hag was joined in facing the media by defender Lisandro Martinez, who also answered a handful of questions.

Recap everything the pair had to say in our live blog below:
