Everton vs Liverpool postponed due to Storm Darragh
The Merseyside derby has been postponed due to Storm Darragh. The match between Everton and Liverpool FC, which was due to kick off at 12.30pm, won't take place today, Everton have confirmed.
"Today's Merseyside derby at Goodison Park has been postponed due to adverse weather conditions. Full details to follow" the club said in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
An amber Met Office weather warning is currently in place for Merseyside where it is forecasted wind speeds could reach 70mph in inland areas.

The anticipated conditions led to safety warnings, with Merseyside Police advising against non-essential travel during the worst of the weather, which was expected to peak around the time of the match.
Both clubs released a joint statement on Friday saying they were in contact with emergency services and the council regarding the fixture.
Conversations continued between Everton and the relevant authorities on Saturday morning, regarding the safety of supporters travelling to, and in and around Goodison, leading to the call to postpone being made, the Liverpool Echo reports.
Liverpool City Council explained that the severe winds from the storm and the threat to the life meant that Everton agreed to to postpone the match, following advice from the city's Ground Safety Advisory Group.
The 245th meeting between the city rivals was to be the last at Goodison Park, with the club moving to their new ground at Bramley Moore Dock next term.
There is currently no date for when the encounter will be rescheduled but it is now likely to become a night game.
A number of other matches across the leagues have been postponed, including Bolton Wanderers trip to Bristol
