Everton to hold "conversations" over signing £107.8m duo, it'll excite supporters - opinion

Frank Lampard has valuable connections at Chelsea after becoming a player legend at the club and also managing the side before Everton, and now he could be about to use those connections in the summer transfer window to benefit his squad at Goodison Park.

According to transfer insider Dean Jones, the former Chelsea boss is interested in opening talks with Chelsea youngsters Armando Broja and Conor Gallagher this summer, in a bid to get them a move to Everton this summer.

Jones told GIVEMESPORT:

“Lampard will fall back on what he knows and what he’s good at – that’s going back to Chelsea and looking at players he knew in the set-up there.

“With the Conor Gallagher situation and Armando Broja, they’ll definitely be two players that he will look to have conversations with over what he sees the future being for them at Chelsea.”

A potential sticking point could be the cost of the players with Gallagher believed to be rated at £50m and Broja at £57.8m.

There is no doubt that the prospect of potentially signing two of the most promising young players in the Premier League this season will excite Everton supporters and having the advantage of a manager with such influence and attraction with Chelsea players will be a huge bonus.

Lampard gave Broja his Premier League debut at Chelsea back in March 2020 ironically against the Toffees in a 4-0 victory for his former club, and the 20-year-old forward has been shining at Southampton on loan this season.

Broja has scored six goals, created two big chances and taken 1.4 shots per game in 32 appearances in the Premier League this season, and was the second highest goal scorer for the Saints with nine goals in all competitions.
