All the talk heading into Saturday’s game was about us supporters getting behind the boys and making Goodison Park as hostile as we could.

It was all about less moaning and groaning and more about cheering the lads on and trying to push them to give that little bit extra.

But in the back of many minds heading to Goodison was a fear that Leeds United could come and do a number on us.

I think most will have watched them on Wednesday and been a bit fearful of the way they played against Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa at Villa Park.

They were fast, well-organised and played with a lot of high-energy. In many ways that is exactly the type of opposition that you don’t want playing against Everton.
