Everton relegation could spark Arsenal or Man Utd delight with Richarlison to be ‘given away’

Everton will sanction a “fire sale” if relegated and star forward Richarlison could join Man Utd or Arsenal for a fraction of his £50m value, claims one observer.

The Toffees have given themselves hope of avoiding the drop with three wins in their last four home matches. All three of those victories came via 1-0 score-lines with Richarlison bagging the winner against Chelsea last time out.

The Brazilian has been a shining light in recent months. His all-action displays have come at just the right time with Dominic Calvert-Lewin struggling for form since returning from injury.

However, Burnley’s revival under Mike Jackson has taken everyone by surprise. Fellow relegation-threatened side Leeds United too have improved since Jesse Marsch took charge.

Everton therefore still have work to do, and according to agent Rob Segal, relegation would wreak havoc within their squad.

Segal reckons a “fire sale” would be sanctioned with a host of Everton’s current stars on far higher wages than most players who go down.

Richarlison would arguably be Everton’s most saleable asset and reports have put his value at £50m – if their Premier League status is retained.

Man Utd and Arsenal are two clubs who are seeking reinforcements in the final third this summer.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano previously confirmed Richarlison has been discussed internally at Old Trafford.

Arsenal, meanwhile, could be the ideal landing spot according to Tim Sherwood. The Gunners lost Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January and both Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette are due to become free agents this summer.
