Reading and Leeds Festival 2025 headliners announced – but fans aren't happy
Reading and Leeds Festivals 2025 have sparked debate amongst fans following the reveal of next year's headliners.
Last year's event saw big names like Fred Again, The Wombats and Liam Gallagher grace the stage, but the announcement that Hozier, Chappell Roan, Bring Me the Horizon and Travis Scott will be the main acts for 2025 has left some festival-goers disenchanted.
Amyl and the Sniffers, Bloc Party and Wunderhorse are also set to perform over the course of the iconic weekend. With the festivals scheduled to rock Bramham Park from Friday, August 23 to Sunday, August 25 over the Bank Holiday Weekend, excitement and disappointment were both palpable online.
The official Reading and Leeds Festival Twitter/X account made their anticipation clear: "THE LINEUP OF SUMMER 2025 HAS JUST LANDED and I KNOW you don't wanna miss out on the biggest weekend of the year."
Yet, the line-up hasn't hit the right note for all fans, with one criticising: "It's arguably your worst lineup of the last 10 years." Another agreed: "Absolutely terrible lads fair play." Meanwhile a third shared their harsh verdict: "This has to be the worst line up I have ever seen."
Some festival enthusiasts are underwhelmed by this year's musical assortment at Reading and Leeds. One critic aired their disappointment online: "This is... not a great line-up. Festivals really struggling to pull in the big bookings, who know they can make more £££ through doing their own headline shows."
Others reminisced about what they argued were the festival's glory days, contrasting the current roster with 2009's bill featuring Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys and Radiohead. One said: "Guys, what happened? We used to be friends."
Meanwhile another added: "Not for me this year
