Ethan Ennis shines as Manchester United get Leeds United revenge with thumping youth win
Manchester United managed to get immediate revenge on fierce rivals Leeds with a thumping win of their own at youth level on Saturday lunchtime.
United's U23 side were beaten 3-0 by their Yorkshire rivals at Elland Road on Tuesday night, before the two teams locked horns again at U18 level this weekend. The Reds managed to secure their own thumping victory in the match with a 4-1 comeback win as Joe Hugill and Omari Forson netted goals and Ethan Ennis scored a brace.

Leeds had taken the lead in the third minute of the match through Luca Thomas but were pegged back seven minutes later when Hugill received a cross from Sam Mather on the right and rifled the ball in at the near post. There was a slight worry when Kobbie Mainoo was forced off through injury shortly afterwards, though it looked more like a precaution given the FA Youth Cup final is on the horizon.
United would then take the lead just before the half-hour mark when former Liverpool youngster Ennis finished a fine passing move by smashing an effort in from a tight angle on the right. Travis Binnion's side would grab the third goal just moments later when substitute Omari Forson, who had replaced Mainoo, tapped in from close range after Mather's initial effort had been spilt by the 'keeper.
Two minutes into the second-half, United wrapped up the three points with a fourth, when the lively Forson darted down the right wing and found Ennis in box, who calmly finished beyond Darryl Ombang in the Leeds goal.
