Erling Haaland told how he compares to Man United's Cristiano Ronaldo following Man City move

Former Birmingham City and Portsmouth attacker Erik Huseklepp has likened Manchester City striker Erling Haaland's determination and hunger to score goals to that of Cristiano Ronaldo.

City, more than a month after announcing that they had reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund to sign the 21-year-old, officially unveiled Haaland as their latest summer signing earlier this week. He has put pen to paper on a five-year deal at the Etihad Stadium and is understood to have joined the club for an initial fee of £51million.

Considered as one of the most promising players in the world, City saw off no shortage of competition to land the Leeds-born striker, meaning they will now be determined to see him replicate the same kind of performances as he produced in Germany. He was nothing short of sensational for Dortmund, scoring 86 goals in just 89 appearances.

Haaland arrives in England with plenty of pressure on his shoulders, as he is expected to hit the ground running in the Premier League and become the face of City's forward line for years to come. And for former Norway international Huseklepp, he has every confidence that Haaland will score goals for the Blues, comparing him with Manchester United ace Ronaldo.
