Erling Haaland makes 'horrible' Man City admission after taking advantage of Mo Salah situation

Erling Haaland has opened up on how he struggled to cope with being on the sidelines for Manchester City during his recovery from injury.

Haaland scored twice for City to guide the team to a 2-0 victory over Everton on Saturday in the Premier League. Pep Guardiola's team returned to the top of the table with the win, leapfrogging Liverpool in the process before their 3pm kick-off against Burnley.

The past couple of months have seen Haaland miss a significant amount of football through injury. The striker missed five Premier League games across December and January before making his return against Burnley at the end of last month.

Despite spending several weeks out of action, Haaland has still managed to score important goals for City this season. His brace against Everton took his total tally for the campaign up to 19 in all competitions from 24 appearances.

Haaland now has 16 in the Premier League, overtaking Mohamed Salah of Liverpool who has 14 to his name, who has not played since New Year's Day after being at the Africa Cup of Nations with Egypt.

Haaland's goals against Everton were his first in the top flight since his goal against Liverpool on November 25. Now the striker has opened up on how he felt being on the sidelines while recovering from a foot injury.

"No, it’s been horrible," Haaland told TNT Sports when asked about his spell on the sidelines through injury. "It’s been horrible and I really don't like it.
