Erling Haaland highlights key Man City strength and warns rivals there is more to come

Erling Haaland was delighted with his and Manchester City's second-half performance against Crystal Palace, but the striker admitted that there is plenty of room for City to improve.

Haaland scored a second-half hat-trick to earn City a 4-2 win after they went into half-time two goals down. Bernardo Silva pulled one back for Pep Guardiola's side shortly after the interval with a deflected effort, before Haaland headed City level. The 22-year-old then tapped home from close range before burying a one-on-one chance to earn himself the match ball.

It was a special afternoon for Haaland; scoring a hat-trick is some achievement, never mind in only your fourth league game for your new club. However, he promised that there is much more to come from the reigning Premier League Champions.

"I feel really good and yeah, I don't have to say too much because the feeling is amazing," Haaland said after the final whistle.

"You see on the pitch, I enjoy it. I feel the connection around me. Of course it takes time to know people good, but I know it will come and we will get even better.

"We were almost there sometimes in the first half so it was about getting it done. This is what we do. It's a good feeling.

"It's really important to have this kind of mentality and we should get it even more. There is more we can do on set-pieces. We have to keep working hard.

"Everyone here, we play for each other and we play together. That's a really good thing at City."
