Erik ten Hag told Manchester United mistake will rule him out of future job
Erik ten Hag has been told that his failure at Manchester United should rule him out of the Netherlands national team job.
The Dutchman was sacked last month after the Reds' worst-ever start to a Premier League season saw them sit 14th in the top flight table. This followed United's eighth-place finish last term - their worst since 1990.
Ten Hag was able to deliver two trophies at Old Trafford with the Reds' League Cup win in 2023 and FA Cup victory last season over Manchester City among the highlights since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement in 2013.
But Dutch football expert Aad de Mos has shared his belief that the former Ajax boss would not be a good fit for the Netherlands if current manager Ronald Koeman departs one day.

“I think that in Koeman we have a coach who is doing reasonably well," he told Soccer News Stalen Snor podcast. "Ten Hag has not built up so much credit that he should now be considered for the national coachship.
“He has shown almost nothing at Manchester United. Ten Hag was able to buy players for €600m. He has made many wrong choices.
“You should never bring so many Dutch players and players from your old employer to your club. The Eredivisie is of course a different level than the Premier League. He has made himself vulnerable by only using this old network.
“The football was not worth watching. He was fourteenth in the league and could not win against FC Twente in Europe. I think that in terms of national coachship, you should rather end up with Arne Slot. Slot does not even have to be
