Erik ten Hag's first Manchester United XI vs expected line-up against Wolves

Manchester United will be determined to make a winning start to the 2023/24 Premier League campaign when they welcome Wolves to Old Trafford on Monday night.

After securing third spot in the Premier League last season, United have ambitions of building on that success this time around. The Reds have added three new faces to their ranks so far this summer, drafting in Andre Onana from Inter Milan, former Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount and ex-Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund.

Last summer United had to lay the foundations to try and kick-start their rebuilding project under Erik ten Hag. A lot of effort and focus went into beefing up the defence and the base of the midfield, drafting in the likes of Lisandro Martinez and Christian Eriksen.

However, United left it fairly late in the window to bring in Brazilian duo Casemiro and Antony, meaning Ten Hag's first starting line-up as Reds boss did not have a complete and polished look to it. This time around, though Hojlund is poised to miss the season's curtain-raiser, United will be in much better shape.
