How Manchester United's summer sales have performed so far at their new clubs

While all of the focus may be currently on whether Manchester United will make any further signings this summer, there have been plenty of players who have left the club over the past few months.

But how have some of the more notable players to have left been performing at their new clubs so far this season? MEN Sport have analysed their performances so you don’t have to.

Following a less-than-impressive season last year, it was expected that Anthony Elanga would shipped on by Erik ten Hag. The 21-year-old left the club for Nottingham Forest this summer in a £15m deal.

Elanga has appeared to fit in well at Forest, with the United academy graduate nearly helping Forest claw their way back against Arsenal on the opening weekend of the Premier League season. He picked up an assist from the bench before being involved in the side’s 2-1 win over Sheffield United.

Despite grabbing that assist at the Emirates, Elanga is yet to start for Forest in a competitive fixture - and will be looking to do so against his former employers this weekend at Old Trafford.

Fred

An unpopular departure for many United fans, Fred was often seen as an integral part of United’s wins against bigger clubs last season, especially their two-legged victory over Barcelona, with Ten Hag labelling the Brazilian’s performance ‘brilliant’.

It came as a shock to some United fans that he was one of the players to leave. He has moved to Fenerbahçe where he has joined up with former Manchester City talisman Edin Dzeko.
